Trudeau meets with Trump

October 12, 2017

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Washington yesterday to meet with President Donald Trump to discuss the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Trump had threatened to walk away from NAFTA if the U.S. did not get, in his words, a better deal.

Trudeau's visit comes as Mexico is threatening to leave the agreement entirely.

Trudeau, however, said he believes that are opportunities to significantly improve the trade deal and he says Canada and the United States can work together to bring those benefits to their citizens.
