Communities dealing with two more accidental deaths
People in White Rapids and the surrounding areas are mourning the loss of a two of their own following a rafting accident on Tuesday.
55-year-old Blaine Sturgeon and his daughter, 29-year-old Falon, died after their raft overturned in the river in Gray Rapids on Tuesday afternoon.
They are the third and fourth people to died in an accident in the greater Blackville area since mid-May.
On May 14th, Marshal Curtis from Gray Rapids was killed in a car accident.
On June 30th, 14-year-old Thomas Dunn from the Howard Road died in hospital after his dirt bike collided with a car a day earlier.
His funeral is being held this morning at 11 at St. Bridget`s Roman Catholic Church in Renous.
To help people cope with the recent losses, grief councillors will be available today and tomorrow at the Blackville Community Centre from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm.m.
An interfaith community vigil will be held in the Blackville Municipal Park on Monday July 16th at 7 p.m.
