Province looking at northern bypass
Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Bill Fraser says the province is once again looking at the concept of a northern bypass.
Calls for the bypass to be built have become louder as the city prepares to deal with the temporary closure of the Centennial Bridge in 2020.
Fraser says the province has gone as far as to hire an engineer to look at the project and provide an updated business case for it.
He also pointed out that the province wanted to build the bypass around a decade ago, but, the project was terminated due to objections from city council and the business community.
