Province releases contracts with Medavie
The provincial government has made good on its promise and yesterday made public its contract with Medavie Health Services New Brunswick for management of extra-mural and tele-care services.
The 10 year agreement is worth $74 million.
In addition, the province will pay $2.6 million a year to cover Medavie's administration costs.
The company can also earn performance bonuses of up to $1.8 million, if it hits annual targets.
There are also penalties for failing to hit targets.
The contract also allows for future government's to cancel the contract without cause, as long as they pay Medavie a penalty of up to $1 million.
The agreements are online here.
