Computer outages causes headaches for health care workers and patients
Computer outages at hospitals and health-care centres across the province Tuesday caused havoc with the health system.
The problem started at around 6 am Tuesday morning when the Service New Brunswick data centre in Saint John experienced a partial outage.
The Saint John area was the hardest hit, causing the cancellation of hundreds of appointments.
A spokesperson for Horizon Health said that in other parts of the province, including Miramichi, the glitch mostly affected staff functions such as the internal intra-net and email.
